Ship's Certificates

This guide is for the Master Terminal — it covers the vessel's own statutory certificates, which are tracked separately from crew documents entirely.

1. What this module is for

From Admin → Ship's Certificates, track the vessel's Flag Administration and Class Society certificates — things like the Cargo Ship Safety Construction Certificate or the ISM Document of Compliance — not anything belonging to an individual crew member.

2. Issue date, expiry and next survey due

Each certificate records its issuing authority (defaulting to your configured Flag Administration or Class Society from Ship Info), issue date, expiry date, and — where relevant — the next survey due date. A timeline view lays these out so an upcoming survey is visible at a glance, not buried in a folder of scanned PDFs.

3. Where the physical document is kept

Each entry also records where the physical certificate is kept onboard, so it's not just a digital record but a pointer to the real document when an inspector wants to see it.

4. Exporting the register

Export the full vessel certificate register as a PDF in one tap — ready to hand over for a Port State Control inspection or a class survey without assembling it from scratch each time.

Ship's Certificates is separate from the Compliance Matrix, which tracks individual crew members' certificates against departmental requirements — the two views cover different things and don't overlap.
